About Us
The Affiliations & Monitoring Section of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University, Peshawar (SBBWUP) is a key administrative and academic unit responsible for ensuring quality assurance, regulatory compliance and effective coordination between the University and its affiliated colleges. The Section plays a pivotal role in overseeing the affiliation processes, monitoring academic delivery and maintaining liaison with regulatory and statutory bodies.
Through structured monitoring mechanisms, transparent procedures and continuous engagement, the Section ensures that academic standards prescribed by the University and the Higher Education Commission (HEC) are consistently implemented across affiliated institutions.

The Section processes cases for new affiliation, continuation, and renewal of affiliated colleges in accordance with:
It arranges Inspection Committee visits, compiles agendas and minutes of Affiliation Committee meetings and places recommendations before statutory bodies for final approval. The Section maintains comprehensive records of affiliation, follow-up and annual renewal fees and ensures continuous liaison with affiliated colleges, the Registrar’s Office, the Directorate of Colleges, Higher Education Department (HED), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Higher Education Commission, Pakistan.
The Section monitors academic activities of University departments and affiliated colleges to ensure compliance with approved curricula, schemes of studies and prescribed credit hours. disseminates curriculum and semester-wise teaching modules, facilitates joint academic meetings parent departments and affiliated colleges in start of each semester and addresses academic issues of faculty and students to ensure smooth academic operations.
A structured attendance monitoring system is maintained through online and compiled records. The Section prepares attendance shortage lists before mid-term and final examinations, monitors cases of repeaters, semester freezing and resumption, medical & maternity leaves and ensures academic compliance strictly in accordance with University regulations.
The Section maintains detailed records of inspection visits, follow-up inspections, compliance reports, official correspondence and financial data. compiles and reports affiliation and academic data in line with HEC Institutional Affiliation Policy 2024, contributing to institutional audits, performance evaluations and statutory reporting requirements.
The Section organizes seminars, workshops, and training sessions affiliated colleges and coordinates their participation in University events. It also collaborates with various University sections by contributing to institutional performance reports, verification of academic records, and maintenance of enrollment and academic data.
