The Affiliations & Monitoring Section of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University, Peshawar serves as a key administrative and academic unit responsible for maintaining quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and effective coordination between the University and its affiliated colleges. The Section ensures that academic standards and regulatory requirements prescribed by the University and the Higher Education Commission (HEC) are consistently implemented across affiliated institutions through structured monitoring and transparent procedures. It manages cases related to new affiliation, continuation, and renewal of affiliated colleges in accordance with relevant legal and regulatory frameworks, including the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Universities (Amendment) Act, 2016, SBBWU Affiliation & Disaffiliation Statutes, 2016, Revised Affiliation & Disaffiliation Regulations, 2021 and the HEC Institutional Affiliation Policy, 2024. The Section coordinates inspection visits, prepares documentation for Affiliation Committee meetings and maintains liaison with the Registrar’s Office, the Directorate of Colleges, Higher Education Department (HED) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. In addition, it monitors academic activities of University departments and affiliated colleges to ensure adherence to approved curricula, schemes of studies, and credit hour requirements, while facilitating academic coordination and addressing operational matters related to attendance monitoring, examination eligibility, repeat cases, semester freezing and resumption, and other academic compliance requirements. The Section also maintains institutional records, inspection reports, and affiliation data to support regulatory reporting, institutional audits, and performance evaluations, while contributing to academic coordination, data management and capacity-building initiatives for affiliated colleges.
