After successfully completing the ANSO-CPJRC-COMSATS International Training Workshop on Disaster Risk Reduction and Green Development for CPEC, Ms. Tashfeen Zia, Deputy Registrar, SBBWUP, has proposed a cascading action plan for affiliated women’s institutions across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The initiative will focus on disseminating key learning related to disaster preparedness, climate resilience, early warning systems, green development, and community safety. Through targeted awareness sessions and capacity-building activities, the plan aims to strengthen female institutions, particularly in vulnerable and newly merged districts, while promoting safer, more resilient, and sustainable academic environments.

The Affiliation & Monitoring Section, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University Peshawar, organized an Orientation and Guidance Session on the HEC Career and Internship Framework at DVC Hall, SBBWUP.
As Deputy Registrar (Affiliation & Monitoring), welcomed the faculty representatives from our affiliated colleges and briefing them on the purpose and agenda of the session. The session was graced by **Dr. Farhat Amin, Vice Chancellor, SBBWUP**, who provided valuable guidance on the HEC Internship Policy, including its procedures, implementation mechanisms, documentation standards, reporting requirements, and compliance at the college level. The interactive question-and-answer session further helped clarify practical aspects of implementation for affiliated colleges. This initiative reflects our commitment to strengthening academic governance, career readiness, and institutional coordination under the **Undergraduate Education Policy Version 1.1**. Through such focused engagements, we aim to support our affiliated colleges in ensuring smooth, timely, and effective implementation of the mandatory internship framework for students.

The session was facilitated by Mr. Subhash Chander, Project Lead, Peshawar Entrepreneurship Program (PEP), SUBHASH Educational Complex (SEC). The program is supported by the U.S. Mission to Pakistan in partnership with the Pakistan-U.S. Alumni Network (PUAN). The objective of the session was to create awareness among students regarding entrepreneurship, startup development, innovation and business creation opportunities available through the PEP initiative. Students from various academic departments attended the session and were introduced to the benefits of entrepreneurship, startup incubation, mentorship opportunities and the activities planned under the program, including entrepreneurship training sessions, bootcamps, industry visits and pitch competitions. During the session, Mr. Subhash Chander encouraged students to explore entrepreneurial pathways and actively participate in the program to develop innovative business ideas and leadership skills. The participants showed keen interest and engaged in an interactive discussion regarding startup opportunities and entrepreneurship in the region. The organizers highly appreciated the efforts and support extended by Ms. Tashfeen Zia, Deputy Registrar, SBBWU Peshawar, and Ms. Ayesha Maqsood, Assistant Registrar (Affiliation & Monitoring), for their valuable coordination and facilitation in organizing the awareness session and ensuring the participation of students from across the university. The event concluded with a question-and-answer session, and students were encouraged to apply for participation in the upcoming activities of the Peshawar Entrepreneurship Program.

A meeting was facilitated by the Affiliations & Monitoring Section, SBBWU Peshawar on April 22, 2026, for the Abaseen Foundation Degree College (AFDC) regarding guidance on their ongoing NCEAC accreditation process for the BS Computer Science program.The meeting was attended by Dr. Fouzia Jabeen, Dr. Tabinda Salam, Ms Tashfeen Zia and Ms. Mehwish Asmatullah. AFDC was represented by Principal Ms. Zeenat, Manager Academics and CS faculty members.Guidance was provided on accreditation requirements as the college has already applied for the NECAC zero visit and subsequent process. SBBWU reaffirmed its support to affiliated colleges in meeting quality assurance standards.
