An Awareness Seminar on KP NFC Share and Challenges of Merged Areas was held on 1st December 2025 at the Catering Hall of the University, and was attended by 150 students and faculty members of affiliated colleges

National Expo' 2025 on Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation

Studenst and Faculty of SBBWUP participated in the first ever National Expo' 2025 on Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation, organized by Relief Rehabilitation & Settlement Department KP on December 3-December 4, 2025 at Marbella Cave Peshawar.Students showcased their skills by creating sustainable, eco-friendly products using the 3Rs principle (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle). From recycled crafts to innovative green products, their creativity and commitment to the environment. The event provided a platform for our students to share their ideas and passion for sustainability. Kudos to the team for representing SBBWUP with excellence!

Training session was conducted by HEC

Training session was conducted by HEC on Monday, November 17, 2025, at the HEC Regional Office, Peshawar, regarding the submission of Higher Education Statistics (HES) data for affiliated colleges for the years 2023?24 and 2024?25. Tashfeen Zia deputy Registrar, Ms. Ayesha Maqsood (Assistant Registrar), and the concerned staff member Ms Neelam Pari handling HES data from our office attended the said training.

Ms Tashfeen Zia, Dr Wilayat Bibi and Dr Mehreen ul Hassan on November 3, 2025 at Marriott hotel Islamabad attended the British Council Education Symposium 2025, an event that united educators, policymakers and innovators to reimagine the future of learning. Through engaging discussions, expert keynotes and interactive workshops, explored innovative approaches to fostering creativity, technology and inclusion in education.

Organized 2-day training on "Enhancing Learner Engagement through Tech: Pedagogical Innovations and Enquiry-Based Learning" for affiliated colleges' faculty members! This initiative, part of the PAK-UK Education Gateway Programme (HEC, British Council, King?s College London, STEM Learning UK), was held at Govt. Girls Degree College Bacha Khan, Peshawar. From October 31, 2025 to November 1, 2025 The resource person were Dr. Mahreen Ul Hassan and Mr. Khayam Ul Haq. Objectives of the Training Session: Explore the potential of AI in enhancing teaching and learning. Apply AI-driven approches to promote student engagement and motivation. Develop innovative, AI-infused instructional designs for diverse learning environments. Understand the basics of ChatGPT and its potential in education. Learn strategies for crafting effective prompts and achieving desired outputs. Discover practical use cases for ChatGPT in teaching and learning.

The faculty and students of Government Girls Degree College Bacha Khan, an affiliated college of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University, embarked on an enlightening visit to the KP Provincial Assembly, organized by the university. This educational excursion proved to be a valuable experience for the students. During the visit, the students gained insight into the history and functioning of the assembly through an informative demo. They explored the assembly halls, witnessing firsthand the democratic processes in action. A comprehensive briefing on the women caucus provided them with a deeper understanding of women's representation and participation in governance. The highlight of the visit was attending a live assembly session, where students observed the proceedings and gained practical knowledge of the legislative process. This immersive experience is sure to inspire and empower these young women to become active participants in shaping their community's future.

Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University and Dosti Welfare Organization recently collaborated for a seminar on "Thalassemia Free Pakistan," on October 30, 2025 attended by over 120 participants (including faculty and Students). The event highlighted key aspects, including: Importance of Premarital Screening: Emphasizing genetic counselling to prevent thalassemia transmission Voluntary Blood Donation: Encouraging community involvement in blood donation drives Youth Empowerment: Focusing on training young individuals to serve as awareness ambassadors in their communities This collaboration reflects the shared commitment of both organizations to preventive healthcare in Pakistan. Dosti Welfare Organization is known for its initiatives in education and health, including genetic disorder awareness and prevention programs. Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University, meanwhile, prioritizes women's education and community development through various academic programs and partnerships. The partnership aims to leverage their combined strengths to promote awareness and prevention strategies for thalassemia, ultimately contributing to a healthier society.

Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University (SBBWUP), Peshawar, in collaboration with the State Bank of Pakistan, organized an awareness session on Islamic Banking on September 4, 2025 to promote understanding of Shariah-compliant financial practices among students and faculty. The session highlighted the Federal Shariat Court ruling and the 26th Constitutional Amendment, under which the conventional banking system is to be transformed into an Islamic banking system by December 31, 2027, reflecting SBBWUP?s commitment to academic?industry collaboration and women?s financial empowerment.

Baragali International Studies Conference 2025

Ms. Tashfeen Zia, Dr. Hamida, Dr. Zarmina, and Dr. Sumaira, along with other faculty members and students of the University, attended the Baragali International Studies Conference 2025 held from July 27 to July 30, 2025. The conference, themed ?Borderlands & Frontiers: Navigating Conflict, Flux, & Opportunity,? was successfully organized and brought together scholars and experts in international studies.

Serve as a core team member of the Revised Institutional Performance and Enhancement (RIPE) during the intensive three-day evaluation visit of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University, Peshawar (SBBWUP) held from 30th June to 2nd July 2025. The comprehensive review assessed the University?s performance across academic, administrative, research, and student support domains, with the objective of identifying strengths, highlighting areas for improvement, and providing evidence-based recommendations to strengthen institutional governance, promote academic excellence, and ensure continuous quality enhancement in line with national higher education standards.

The Women Literature Festival 2025 3rd Edition was held at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University, Peshawar (SBBWUP) from November 4 to November 7, 2025. During the festival, multiple literary sessions were organized, including panel discussions, book talks, poetry readings, and interactive dialogues with writers and scholars. In addition to the main campus activities, Mushaira, festival sessions were also arranged at affiliated colleges, extending the outreach of the event and encouraging broader student participation. Literary exhibitions, book stalls, and cultural displays were organized alongside the sessions, providing participants with opportunities for literary engagement and cultural exchange. The festival successfully promoted literature, creativity, and academic discourse, reflecting SBBWUP?s commitment to fostering literary culture and intellectual development among students and affiliated institutions.

Joint Meetings of Faculty Members of Affiliated Colleges with Parent Departments of SBBWUP (Fall Semester 2025) were conducted on Thursday, September 11, 2025, Friday, September 12, 2025, Monday, September 22nd , 2025 at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University, Peshawar. The first meeting was attended by faculty members of four university departments, namely Zoology, History & Pakistan Studies, and Physics, along with faculty representatives from 14 affiliated colleges.The second meeting was attended by faculty members of four university departments, namely Computer Science, Islamiyat, Microbiology, and Botany, along with faculty representatives from 10 affiliated colleges. The third meeting was attended by faculty members of four university departments, namely Psychology, Economics, Home Economics, and Urdu, along with faculty representatives from affiliated colleges.The Fourth meeting was attended by faculty members of four university departments, namely Geography, Statics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Political science and English , along with faculty representatives from affiliated colleges During these meetings, matters related to curriculum, paper setting, and teaching methodologies were discussed. Necessary guidance was provided to the affiliated colleges for effective implementation in line with the university?s academic standards.

The Joint Meetings of Faculty Members of Affiliated Colleges with Parent Departments of SBBWUP (Spring Semester 2025) were conducted from April 8 to April 10 and April 14, 2025 at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University, Peshawar. Faculty members from 17 university departments along with representatives of affiliated colleges participated in these meetings. Academic matters related to curriculum implementation, paper setting, assessment criteria, and teaching methodologies were discussed in detail. Necessary guidance was provided to ensure uniform academic standards across all affiliated colleges. The meetings helped strengthen coordination and academic collaboration between the university and its affiliated institutions.

Digital Marketing Training Course was organized by Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University Peshawar in collaboration with SRSP under the UNFPA initiative at the SBBWUP Larama Campus

The Digital Marketing Training Course was organized by Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University Peshawar in collaboration with SRSP under the UNFPA initiative at the SBBWUP Larama Campus from November 9, 2025- December 9, 2025. The one-month program trained 30 women participants, including university students and community members, in essential digital marketing and freelancing skills. The course covered social media marketing, graphic design, e-commerce platforms, digital advertising, and personal branding. Participants received hands-on training and certification, enabling them to pursue online businesses, freelancing, and income-generating opportunities. The initiative significantly contributed to women?s digital empowerment and socio-economic resilience in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Digital Media Marketing Training Program

The Digital Media Marketing Training Program was conducted from 3rd September to 5th December 2025 at IT Park, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University Peshawar (SBBWUP). The program aimed to equip women from marginalized Afghan and host communities with essential digital marketing, e-commerce, and freelancing skills for income generation. A total of 25 women participants (14 Afghan and 11 Pakistani) successfully completed the training through a 12-week curriculum covering digital marketing, content creation, social media campaigns, SEO, and online business platforms. The training combined theory with hands-on practice to ensure practical learning outcomes. Educational visits and verification by the Technical Training Board (TTB) further strengthened the program?s credibility. Overall, the initiative enhanced digital inclusion, entrepreneurial capacity, and economic empowerment of women.

The exposure gained during these visits significantly enhanced the trainees understanding of digital media marketing and real-world business environments.
